Delete your account.

Step 01

Open the app

On the device where you signed in. Make sure you're logged in to the account you want to remove.

Step 02

Go to settings

Tap Profile → Settings → Delete account.

Confirm

Re-enter your password (or sign in again with Google) and confirm. We'll log you out on the spot.

You can delete your BrainClash account at any time, directly from the app. The whole process takes about thirty seconds and doesn't require emailing us — though if you can't access the app for any reason, the email path below still works.

§ 01What gets deleted

When you confirm deletion, we immediately remove or scrub:

Your profile — display name, email, password hash, avatar
Your match history and stats
Your skill rating, streaks, and league position
Active sessions (you're signed out everywhere)
Any pending friend invites or rematch requests you've sent

Within 30 days, the soft-delete becomes permanent and your data is purged from our primary database. Encrypted backups rotate out within an additional 90 days, after which no copy remains.

§ 02What we have to keep

A small amount of data must legally outlive your account. We keep only what the law requires, and only for as long as it requires:

Purchase receipts and tax records — kept up to 7 years per tax law
Anti-abuse signals tied to the device or IP address that flagged a serious policy violation — kept long enough to prevent re-registration
Anonymized aggregate statistics that no longer identify you (e.g. "55% of players answered question #1234 correctly")

§ 03Can't access the app?

If you've lost your phone, your password, or simply can't get back in:

Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account
Subject line: Delete my BrainClash account
We'll verify ownership of the email and process the deletion within 14 days

We do this carefully — we'd rather take a day longer than delete the wrong account.

§ 04In-app purchases & subscriptions

Deleting your BrainClash account does not cancel a recurring subscription on the App Store or Google Play. Cancel subscriptions through your platform's account settings before — or after — deleting; otherwise your store will keep billing you.

§ 05Coming back

During the 30-day grace window, signing in restores your account intact. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and you'll have to register a fresh account if you decide to return — your old stats and rating are gone for good.
